Sangoma cards are known for their high quality and great echo cancellation modules so it makes sense to want to use them with 3CX, but the process can be a little confusing the first time. The reason it seems a little complicated is that you also need to install Sangoma’s NetBorder Express software. NetBorder Express acts like a hardware driver but goes a step further by creating a SIP trunk interface that any SIP compliant IP PBX system can then talk to. Since NetBorder Express is available for Windows, this makes it the ideal way of using a Sangoma A200 card with 3CX. We just need to install the software, get it configured, and we are then ready to go.
In the video tutorial shown below, we cover the steps needed to get the Sangoma A200 working and go through a walk through of how to configure NetBorder Express and then how to configure 3CX to talk to NetBorder Express.
The easiest process to follow in order for things to go as smooth as possible is:
- Get 3CX up and running
- Install NetBorder Express
- Shutdown computer and install interface card
- Bring computer system back up and configure NetBorder Express
- Configure 3CX for the correct interface card
- Save config file to NetBorder Express folder
- Restart Gateway
For this tutorial, we will be installing the Sangoma A200 card into 3CX using a RockBochs 1U Appliance.
